Obstacle warnings by voice and vibration
Ariadne Sense helps you move more confidently. It warns about obstacles by voice and by vibration that depends on distance, and works most precisely on iPhones with a LiDAR sensor.
How it warns you
As you approach an obstacle, the phone vibrates more intensely, and below a safety threshold it starts to pulse. You can use vibration only, voice only or both at once.
The app recognizes whether you're outdoors, near the street or inside a building and adapts how it warns you. It always analyzes hazards first.
What it watches for
- Posts, lamp posts and obstacles in the way
- Other people and objects on the ground
- Walls, doors and furniture
Requirements
Voice and vibration warnings work on every supported iPhone. Models with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models) measure distance directly; on other models a machine-learning model estimates it, less precisely.
