Who we are, why we're named the way we are, and what stands behind an app someone's independence depends on.
Why “Ariadne”
In the myth of the labyrinth, strength doesn't win. The thread does: the right information, given at the right moment. For a blind person the world can be a labyrinth designed by the sighted and for the sighted: unmarked passages, announcements shown only on screens, documents available only in print. Ariadne Sense is the thread: it turns what the iPhone's camera sees into information you can hear and feel, exactly when you need it.
Why “Sense”
A sense is a channel of information about the world. We're not building a gadget or yet another app. We're building the missing channel. The voice assistant is our first sense. Not the last.
The backbone: aveneo
Ariadne Sense is built at aveneo, a software house from Poznań with 18 years of experience and more than 220 delivered projects, including production image-recognition systems based on neural networks. That backbone means one thing: an app someone's safety depends on is built with the discipline of industrial-grade systems.
